Update : 08 Nov 2017, 11:11 PM
Freedom fighter and sculptor Ferdousi Priyabhashini has been admitted to Lab Aid hospital after several heart attacks. According to hospital sources, Priyabhashini had suffered two major heart attacks and even stopped breathing for a short time. She was reported to still be in danger at the time of filing this report. Karu Tiash, Priyabhashini’s son, said that his mother suffered the heart attacks at noon on November 8. She was then taken to Lab Aid hospital and admitted to the coronary care unit (CCU). Dr Baren Chakraborty, who has been overseeing Priyabhashini’s health, informed that the patient had already undergone a heart-bypass surgery in the past. Furthermore, Dr Chakraborty said that the sculptor had long been suffering from heart disease. “In the afternoon of November 8 her heart stopped breathing. It happened again around 5pm in the evening. We are giving her every possible service she needs. It is possible that she may be admitted to the intensive care unit any time.” A medical board of the hospital was set to meet at 8pm on Wednesday to discuss Priyabhashini’s status.
