Sonam Kapoor body shamed for her bikini photo

After wowing the audience with their sneak-peeks and first promotional poster, the team of “Veere Di Wedding” took off to Thailand, reportedly to shoot for a song featuring the four leads - Sonam Kapoor, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Swara Bhasker and Shikha Talsania. Swara Bhasker posted a video on her official Instagram account of them relaxing by the poolside after their “long flight.” Sonam, Swara, Shikha and producer Rhea Kapoor can be seen having fun at the Amanpuri beach resort. “Missing #kareenakapoorkhan,” Swara captioned the video. However, while the “Veere Di Wedding” gang was having the time of their life, just innocently enjoying, trolls got busy quite instantly. Sonam, who was wearing a black strapless bikini with a towel wrapped around her waist as seen in the video, was body shamed and called “flat.” The video and the mean comments from trolls calling her “flat breasts” has since gone viral. Some fans have even defended Sonam and criticised the people who trolled and body shamed the talented actor.  Sonam had earlier written a powerful blog about body shaming on India Today, where she talked about how women, herself included, had been conditioned to believe in an unrealistic idea of flawless beauty. She said: “I know now that there’s nothing wrong with stretch marks, cellulite, or scars. They’re markers of our growth. There’s beauty in their realness.”
