Vidya working as CBFC member

Bollywood actress Vidya Balan has been working as a part of the reconstituted Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) since August. At the trailer launch of her new film Tumhari Sulu held on Saturday, Vidya said: “I am enjoying the role of a board member. A lot of people don’t know what it means to become a board member." On the board, Vidya is among Gautami Tadimalla, Narendra Kohli, Naresh Chandra Lal, Neil Herbert Nongkynrih, Vivek Agnihotri, Waman Kendre, TS Nagabharana, Ramesh Patange, Vani Tripati Tikoo, Jeevitha Rajasekhar and Mihir Bhuta. The new board members were announced on August 11, when lyricist Prasoon Joshi replaced Pahlaj Nihalani as the CBFC chief.After The Dirty Picture, Kahaani, and Begum Jaan, Vidya is back in her element in the much awaited film Tumhari Sulu, which is expected to be released on November 17. In this film she plays the role of a housewife, who is a regular caller at a radio station and wins multiple prizes from there. When she goes to collect her prize, she spots a poster with a vacancy for an RJ, and grabs it.
