Varun becomes successful as Prem and Raja

Prem and Raja are back on the silver screen with the release of Judwaa 2. The film is a reboot of the original, featuring Varun Dhawan in the role of Bollywood’s famous identical twins. Fans have been eagerly waiting for its release for two reasons: to see a fresh new entertainer like Varun in an iconic role and relive the 90s nostalgia once again. According to early estimates, the reboot has already made its audience dance again and do well at the box office, earning Rs6 crore on its second Sunday, bringing the total domestic gross average around Rs161.36 crore. Since his Bollywood debut, Varun Dhawan has had a 100% success rate so far in the industry, and since the latest release of Judwaa 2, it is certain it would remain that way. In fact, the reboot of his father’s film Judwaa, which starred Salman Khan in the twin’s roles in 1997, might even surpass Dilwale, which was Varun’s biggest hit till date. The comedy film Judwaa 2, directed by David Dhawan, also stars Jacqueline Fernandez and Taapsee Pannu who will slip into the shoes of Karishma Kapoor and Rambha, respectively. Varun says he is delighted as an artist to have entertained audiences. Judwaa became a big commercial hit twenty years ago, when Salman Khan, Karishma Kapoor and Rambha ruled over the box office with its iconic catchy songs and performances.
