Television's Nikita Dutta is all set for her second innings in her Bollywood journey, opposite Sunny Kaushal in Reema Kagti’s Gold.
Gold is a sports drama that stars Akshay Kumar as the lead, and it will also be the Naagin actress Mouni Roy’s Bollywood debut. Nikita Dutta was last seen on Sony TV’s popular show Ek Duje Ke Vaaste.
Gold is based on popular hockey player Balbir Singh, who led India to victory in three consecutive Olympics in 1948, 1952 and 1956. The film also stars Amit Sadh and Kunal Kapoor in pivotal roles. It is slated to release during the Independence Day weekend in 2018. Gold is produced by Ritesh Sidhwani and Farhan Akhtar.
As per the report, Nikita started shooting for her portions of the film in Amristar in the second week of September, and will be there for another 15 days for some more romantic sequences with Sunny. She also has some important scenes with Akshay Kumar.
Nikita will also be seen in Sony TV’s upcoming romantic-thriller Haasil, which also includes Bollywood actors Zayed Khan and Vatsal Sheth. The show will go on-air from September and will reportedly replace Jennifer Winget’s popular show Beyhadh. This is the comeback project for Zayed Khan who has been missing from big screen for quite a long while.
Nikita is all set to be there for the shoot of Gold. That is why she is wrapping her shooting days for Haasil in Mauritius.
Nikita Dutta is best known for her role of Lakshmi in Life Ok’s popular daily series Dream Girl-Ek Ladki Deewani Si. It was her debut show but she clearly impressed the viewers with her amazing acting skills. She made her Bollywood debut with 2014 film Lekar Hum Deewana Dil.
