Tyrion’s punk days

Update : 05 Sep 2017, 09:08 PM
The cast members of American fantasy television drama Game of Thrones have pretty interesting expertises in their CVs. Jerome Flynn, who plays Bronn, pulled off three number one singles during his career with old pop duo called Robson & Jerome; Rory McCann, who plays The Hound, was the star of a porridge advert; and Paul Kaye, who plays Thoros of Myr, appeared as a trolling celebrity interviewer called Dennis Pennis. The actor, who plays Tyrion Lannister aka the Imp – one of the author’s finest creations and the most popular character from the fantasy television series, was the front-man of a punk/rap/funk band called Whizzy in the early 90s. Recently, NME has released some pictures of the actor playing with the band. However, it’s unfortunate for his fans that there is no video footage of this. The band played punk/rap/funk music and sounded a bit like Red Hot Chilli Peppers. Talking about his Whizzy days, Peter Dinklage reportedly told, “I was pretty angry back then.” Peter Dinklage, who received the Primetime Emmy and the Golden Globe Award for his portrayal of a member of House Lannister, also played the cornet, besides singing in the band.
