Bangladesh welcomed Pohela Boishakh, the first day of the Bangla New Year 1432, on Monday with colours, songs and timeless traditions. Streets bloomed with festive crowds, draped in vibrant attire, as processions and melodies swept the air.
At Dhaka University, the cherished procession stepped forward in the morning under a new name — Ananda Shobhajatra — but the spirit of hope and togetherness remained unchanged.
