The commissioning of the first unit of the Rooppur Nuclear Power Plant is taking place on Thursday.
The country’s first nuclear power plant construction was first initiated in 1961 by the then-Pakistan government. However, the project faced various challenges and difficulties over the years and could not be completed.
After 62 years of ups and downs and significant historical changes, the project is finally nearing its completion.
