In pictures: Bangladesh observes Buddha Purnima

Buddhists across Bangladesh are observing Buddha Purnima to mark the birth of Gautama Buddha on Thursday. It is considered the biggest religious festival of the Buddhist community.

The devotees are seen offering various gift items, including fruits, flowers and candles, to statues of Lord Buddha since the morning.
