In pictures: National Zoo draws huge crowd on second day of Eid

The Bangladesh National Zoo in Mirpur, Dhaka, experienced a big surge in attendance on the second day of Eid-ul-Fitr on Sunday.

Attracted by the calm environment of the zoo, thousands of people entered the zoo when the gates opened, seeking to gate relief from the bustle and monotony of urban life.

The zoo is home to more than 2,000 animals from 165 species and gets about 4 million visitors every year.
