In pictures: Eid-e-Miladunnabi observed in Dhaka

The Maizbhandaria community in Dhaka brought out a rally (Jashne Julush) under the leadership of Maizbhandar Darbar Sharif Imam Hazrat Shah Sufi Moulana Syed Saifuddin Ahmed Al-Hasani to observe Eid-e-Miladunnabi on Sunday to mark the day of the birth and passing of the Prophet (PBUH). On this day in 570, the 12th of Rabiul Awal of the Hijri calendar, Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH) was born in Makkah with divine blessings and messages of peace for mankind. He also passed away on the same date. The day is a public holiday in Bangladesh. Different government and non-government organizations, including the Islamic Foundation (IF), will hold various programs to mark the occasion.
