Bangladesh on Thursday resumed its mass vaccination program against Covid-19 after a hiatus caused by low supply of vaccine doses.
The authorities managed to start the vaccination drive again after receiving over the past week several million doses of the different vaccines from China and the US, which were either bought or received under the Covax facility.
Since January 27, Bangladesh has administered over 10 million doses of the Oxford-AstraZeneca vaccine among people across the country.
Since May 25, over 100,000 people around the country have also received either China's Sinopharm vaccine doses or the Pfizer-BioNTech one from US.
These photos of the vaccination process were taken on Thursday, July 8, 2021 by Dhaka Tribune's Chief Photographer Syed Zakir Hossain and Staff Photographer Mehedi Hasan from the Maternal and Child Health Training Institute at Azimpur and the Dhaka Medical College Hospital, respectively.
