In pictures: Dhaka shivers as cold wave sweeps over Bangladesh

A sudden drop in temperature due to cloudy sky and dense fog has led the city dwellers reach for their sweaters as winter finally arrives in Dhaka late in December. 

A cold wave, mild to moderate in intensity, is likely to sweep over the northwestern part of the country starting Thursday, dropping temperatures as low as 10°C across Bangladesh.
