Awami League, oldest political party of Bangladesh, is observing their 70th founding anniversary on Sunday.
Since its founding on June 23, 1949, the party has been playing leading role in all democratic movements. Bangalis fought in the Liberation War in 1971 under the leadership of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and won independence.
