The selling of sacrificial animals drew crowd in the city’s 21 temporary cattle markets as also in the permanent market of Gabtoli till the midnight before Eid-ul-Azha.
This year the government fixed 2,954 spots in 11 city corporations of the country for slaughtering sacrificial animals during Eid-ul-Azha.
Watch towers were set up as part of the initiatives taken by the law enforcement agencies to ensure the security of the cattle trades as well the buyers.
