Fire erupts 16-storied building at Narayanganj

A fire has broken at 16-storied building 'Tokyo Plaza-2' at Nayamati hosiery belt near DIT market  in Narayanganj. Narayanganj fire service and civil defense sources told the Dhaka Tribune that the fire originated from the 4th floor of the 16-storied building in the evening. Garments wastes were stock-piled on the 4th floor and the blaze engulfed the 5th floor quickly. Four fire-extinguishing units from Narayanganj, Hajiganj, Postgola and Demra put out the fire within 45 minutes. Deputy assistant director (DAD) Din Mony Sarkar said the fire originated from an electric short-circuit.
