Looking beyond the summit

The world wants to see strong, positive, active Arabs

Update : 20 Feb 2025, 10:28 AM

From the first Arab summit until the last summit, the vast majority of Arab peoples see with doubts about their uses and capabilities to achieve achievements.

Although the Arab summits did not stop holding normally or exceptionally, and were interspersed with mini-summits, let alone bilateral and trilateral summits, they did not all receive popular attention or bets on them, if the matter was considered in terms of concrete achievements. However, all the summits achieved the minimum required of them, which is to preserve the Arab order, the image of which is embodied by the League of the Arab State.

For the Palestinians with the central cause, the summits provided moral, political, and financial support that benefited from the Palestinian national struggle, entitled the Liberation Organization, which was granted by the Arabs the status of their legitimate representative and their cause.

Now the Arabs are preparing two mini-sums: One in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and one expanded in Cairo, and before the agenda that has become known -- which is to approve a plan for the reconstruction of Gaza, prevent displacement from it, and renew support for the project of establishing a Palestinian state -- for which the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia established a global mobilization, in addition to all these great and urgent tasks.

There is nothing to prevent the Arabs from making their peaks more effective and in a way that puts them in the ranks of influential forces in this era

There is the biggest task, which is to reconsider the summits in a way that they restore the confidence of the Arab public, and provide serious strength for the Arabs in a time when there is no weight or influence for the non-strong.

There is nothing to prevent the Arabs from making their peaks more effective and in a way that puts them in the ranks of influential forces in this era. Do we see in the coming small and expanded exceptional and ordinary summits that reinstate the summits to consider them first in the eyes of their citizens and secondly in the eyes and calculations of the world?

The opportunity has not yet been missed, and the advantage that is worth betting on is that the world -- with most of its strengths and countries -- wants to see strong, positive, and active Arabs, after they are tired of seeing Arabs who were the weakest and least effective among all nations and entities.
