If [the concerned] authorities are really serious about proper punishment [for the] Savar disaster case, they should monitor the case from the beginning and supervise that appropriate charges are drawn under proper rules of the law. No words should be there like “it was told” or “may have been” ie no vague terms [should] be used. This is how it should be: for any criminal case, the Police/ IO’s report is the most important document for the prosecution. It is the duty of the Police as well as the govt leaders to duly perform their responsibilities to deliver justice. May I appeal to your conscientiousness to play a due role and not compromise here? Let us punish the criminals, not [carry out] witch hunting and blame games which end nowhere.

Wali: Sir, do you believe in the independence of the police and the judiciary? Or do you prefer our PM deny the claim that Sohel Rana belonged to the ruling party? Forget everything else and ask your conscience the answers to these questions.

While our ministers are busy with their children (opening fashion shows, ensuring their comfort on official trips abroad, finalising their cuts in deals), our country is very quietly sliding into hell. Perhaps the time has come to take a closer look at our constitution. Every single government has consistently failed to deliver on every single section of that hallowed document. Change it, so it clearly states Each To His Own. Or change the people who make decisions on behalf of our state. Run the country as you should, or get the hell out. Enough is enough.

Keep the pressure up. Don’t let them make Rana the fall guy for everything.
