So heartbreaking and touching! May her soul rest in eternal peace! At least she died knowing that this world still has good human beings and they tried their best to rescue her!

Rescuers tried their best to save Shahina from the trap, even endangering their lives, but ultimately failed. It was really an irony of fate that did not allow the rescuers to succeed in saving her life. It was a heartbreaking episode of Shahina fighting for her life and, hopeless, we are left to mourn and only shed tears for her. Thanks to the rescuers for their valiant effort. May God bless Shahina. May God bless her only son.
Dr. Paul So very sad. As though life was not tough enough in Bangladesh.

Yes, but what about the child? There are many people genuinely interested to help out this little boy whose mother fought so desperately to stay alive for him. We need a trustworthy source that we can avail to send funds for him and to ensure that the money does not fall in the wrong hands. I hope the Tribune follows up this story and keeps us informed.

Bareera: Shahina's father is now taking care of her 18-month old child, Rabin. If you are really interested to do something for the child, you can contact us and we will help you to reach Shahina's family. Thank you.
