Every now and then we have to pat ourselves on the back for the progress we’ve made and, in that spirit, we are proud to be the third largest exporter of bicycles to the EU at the moment.
But why stop there?
Currently, we hold 11% of the EU bicycle market share, but we can stake out much more if we start to invest in producing bicycle parts locally.
Given the potentially enormous returns from investment, the industry is very appealing to savvy investors right now, but it could certainly use a bit of a boost from the government as well.
All the government has to do is simply create a favourable policy environment and provide some essential support.
To that end, a nation-wide campaign that promotes the use of bicycles for health and environmental reasons can further bolster the industry.
