Bangladesh has a plethora of untapped potential, and our skilled labour is one such area that demands dedicated attention. We wholeheartedly agree, therefore, with the planning minister's views on maximizing the use of skilled labour.
At the launch of the "Smart Bangladesh Network," Planning Minister MA Mannan highlighted necessary steps for our nation to take in order to achieve our goals of building a smart Bangladesh.
At this stage of our development, it is crucial that we take advantage of the demographic dividend. The majority of our population currently makes up the working force, presenting favourable opportunities for our economy to grow further.
To that end, appropriate and thorough training for the workforce must be made a priority to maximize their contributions to the country. Technological advancements must also be used to our advantage in order to upgrade the skill sets of our working class, especially the youth, to match the skills required in this advanced day and age.
Digitization of daily tasks can assist in creating a smart network amongst the general public, especially the younger population, and can enable our potential as a country to be expanded. In keeping with the times, we must adapt to and implement evolving technologies for our sustainable growth.
The authorities, the private sector, and relevant stakeholders ought to do their part in not only designing an effective plan to implement these changes, but also seeing them through. Coordinated efforts must be made to ensure our skilled labour are granted all the resources and training they require to reach their full potential.
If Vision 2041 is to be realized, we must work collectively to employ all our resources efficiently. Only then can we build a truly prosperous nation.
