Our law enforcement and intelligence agencies deserve a round of applause: They have managed to arrest a dangerous terrorist, one of the planners behind last year’s Gulshan attack, and someone who eluded authorities for almost two decades.
This arrest of terrorist Hatkata Mahfuz, who also also wanted by India, goes a long way in reassuring us that, compared to a year ago, Bangladeshi law enforcement have really stepped up their game and made some excellent headway in terms of fighting terrorism.
As citizens, we want to take the opportunity to thank the brave men and women in uniform for fighting the good fight to protect our nation from the clutches of terror.
