While I was posting updates on Facebook (FB) about the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 India-Pakistan game, a message appeared on my screen which said, “You are posting too much about the same topic. Write posts about other topics." I was prevented from uploading my post.
After some time, I tried again and I received the same warning. When I tried a third time, I could. Later, I realized the posts could not not be seen by others and I had been blocked.
I had no idea that it was the business of FB to decide how many posts I could author on a topic.
FB never warned me that it would do this; they did not inform me of the permissible number of posts that could be made on a topic – or the consequences of crossing the threshold. I was not warned but punished. Unless I tag someone, my post cannot be seen by others I have confirmed. I have no idea how long the ban will last.
Please inform me of where I may lodge a formal protest against this or take legal action. Is there a forum I can take this to?
Once more, I register my protest and promise to fight for my rights till the end.
