The Malaysia Healthcare Travel Council (MHTC), in collaboration with five Malaysian healthcare institutions and with the support of its Bangladesh partner Irving Aviation Limited, has launched Malaysia Healthcare Week 2026 to strengthen healthcare cooperation and medical tourism links between the two countries.
The programme began with the Discover Malaysia Healthcare Corporate Networking Dinner on 16 September at Renaissance Dhaka Gulshan Hotel, bringing together representatives from the Malaysian High Commission, MHTC, Malaysian hospitals, healthcare professionals, corporate leaders and stakeholders.
Hazwan Hasnol, Chargé d’Affaires of the High Commission of Malaysia to Bangladesh, highlighted the bilateral relationship and the importance of cooperation in healthcare.
Muhammad Hizami Aizat Che Harun, Head of Developmental Market, MHTC, highlighted Malaysia’s healthcare capabilities and efforts to enhance connectivity for international patients.
MHTC and five healthcare providers—Alpha IVF & Women’s Specialists, KPJ Ampang Puteri Specialist Hospital, IHH Healthcare Malaysia, KL Fertility & Gynecology Centre, and Sunway Medical Centre, Sunway City Kuala Lumpur—are participating in Asian Tourism Fair 2026 from 17–19 September at ICCB.
The Malaysia Healthcare Pavilion at Booth Nos. 15–19, Hall 2, was inaugurated by Hazwan Hasnol. The delegation will visit Chattogram to engage with healthcare professionals, businesses and potential partners.
