The government has announced National Film Award 2012 for the artistes and crews in 24 categories for their glorious and outstanding contribution in the nation’s films.
Late author-screenwriter-playwright-filmmaker Humayun Ahmed has won the award for best director for his film Ghetuputra Kamala. Joya Ahsan has been selected for the award as the best lead role actress for the film, Chorabali while Shakib Khan as the best lead role actor for the film Khodar Pore Ma.
The other award winners include Khalil Ullah Khan for lifetime achievement, Faridur Reza Sagar for the best producer for the film Uttarer Sur and Emon Saha for best music director for the same film.
The award for best supporting role went to actor ATM Shamsuzzaman for Chorabali and actress Lusa Tripti Gomez for Uttarer Sur.
Shahiduzzaman Selim has been chosen for the best actor in the role of antagonist for his performance in Chorabali.
Mamun was adjudged as the best child artist award for his role in “Ghetuputra Kamala”, and the special award in the same goes to Meghla for her role in “Uttarer Sur”.
Shahnaz Kakoli is going to get the award for the best story. She wrote the story of the film “Uttarer Sur”.
The national film award for best screenplay writer goes to Human Ahmed for “Ghetuputra Kamala”.
Redwan Rony will get the award for Best Dialogue for the film Chorabali.
The best singer award for female goes to Runa Laila for the song Jokhon Taake Dekhechhi in the film Tumi Asbe Bole Kotha and the best singer in male category is Palash for the playback song “Ma Tumi Amar Age Jeyo Nako More” in the film Khodar Pore Ma.
The award for music goes to Emon Saha for the song “Aynare O Amar Adhar Rater Ayna” of the film Pita.
The best award winner for camera this year is Mahfuzur Rahman for Ghetuputra Kamala.
For the same film Salimulla Sali is getting the award in editing category.
For sound, Ripon Nath for the works in Chorabali, Kalamtar and Uttamguha for art direction in Raja Surya Kha, Khalilur Rahman for Make-up in Ghetuputra Kamala, Mainuddin Fuad for costume in the same film, are also going to be awarded with the national film award 2012.
