Telefilm “Pidim,” a love story will air tonight at 8pm on Maasranga Television. The story is about a boy Zamir who falls in love with a girl name Sokhina. He is a simple rural man who stares at Sokhina all the time, despite of the fact that she has a long list of admirers, which he is well aware of.
At one point of the story, he proposes marriage to his object of admiration and affection, assuring her that he would provide for all her earthly needs.
Sokhina, flattered by his proposal accepts, but in a short span of time, realises that Zamir is unable to abide by his promised words.
In an unfortunate turn of events, Zamir is crippled in a road accident and Sokhina, unable to bear the tedious job of looking after him, runs away with another man.
In the mean time, Zamir is sentenced to prison after being accused of stealing a rickshaw. He is released after eleven years and comes face to face with his disloyal estranged wife. Sokhina, in shock, could not recognize this transformed Zamir.
The tragic telefilm is written and directed by Murad Parvez, featuring Sohana Saba, Saju Khadem, S M Mohsin, Shahana Sumi, Abdulla Rana and others.
