'Mree,' a word that is shortened from 'Mrinmoy,' means ‘made of earth,’ and its designs are aimed to be centered around seasons of nature and personal stories. Mree is a partnership between three friends: Sarah Ahmed, Doito Bonotulshi, and Ishrat Jahan.
Their Fall collection was made in vibrant, ecstatic colours. And it is because the team of three, believes that there is no such thing as grey skies, dying leaves, and muted tones for a season’s end. The designs are intended to resonate the vibrancy of the skies, landscapes, and uninvited storms, during this time of the year. It features sarees, accompanying blouse pieces and kurtis, in tones of pink, white, yellow, and beige, and plum, adds a required contrast. The fabrics used, state a sense of comfort in mind, and this collection focused on cotton sarees mostly. Mree works extensively with block prints and these are featured throughout all their collections.
