Shahat had had the idea ever since he was a child. Fashion, to him, has always been a combination of what looks good and is comfortable to wear at the same time. “There’s nothing as comfortable as just being your own,” says Shahat. “Clothes hold the power to make you feel like you’re just being yourself and creating your own statement. NUDE is all about going bold with colours that complement your every move, everyday.”
Starting off as a fashion blogger in 2018, Shahat was immensely overwhelmed by the support he received from all his followers whom he calls ‘BinstaFam’ -- putting emphasis on “fam”, since they are all part of a big family to him.
The name NUDE refers to the nude colours he uses, namely baby pink, grey, light brown and other pastel colours, that never go out of fashion. Inspired by American rapper Kanye West and Shahat’s love for his style and aesthetics, and letting his imagination do most of the work, has helped NUDE become a very trendy name to follow among the loyal BinstaFam.
NUDE being trendy and yet simple sets itself apart from the rest of most of the existing brands, especially with all the noise in the fashion industry nowadays. Most fashion houses either go overboard with all the flashy designs or come up with something which ends up being extremely uncomfortable, according to Shahat. Getting NUDE products up on the shelves of its own store is also a possibility of the near future, Shahat promised.
The most popular design, as of now, is the NUDE turtleneck – which, he says, could be worn with all sorts of outfits starting from a blazer, an overcoat to even a jacket for a more casual look. The light colours complement Bangladeshi winter, too, the weather being notoriously unpredictable with temperatures fluctuating from 12 degrees to 24.
