Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on Tuesday provided financial assistance to the family members of 36 victims of Tazrin Fashion Factory, who were burnt to death in November last year and identified through DNA tests.
The Prime Minister handed over a cheque of Tk 7 lakh to each family of the victims at her office.
The identities of these victims could not be ascertained initially as they were burnt severely.
Earlier, on December 4, the Prime Minister handed over Tk six lakh to each of the 62 families of the Tazrin Fashion Factory, who were identified initially.
At least 111 garment workers were killed in a devastating fire that broke out at the Tazrin Fashion Factory in Ashulia on the outskirts of Dhaka last year.
