Best battery

Update : 06 Dec 2016, 05:18 PM
As consumers of smarpthones, we all want a battery, without getting too greedy, that can last us the entire day without the need of charging it. As technology advances, you can bet we’ll get to a point where heavy use of smartphones will go uninterrupted throughout the entire day. Until then, we’ll have to settle with the best lot we have been given. 2016 comes down to a close, so here’s a list of the best batteries in the smartphone market that will take you smoothly into 2017.

Motorola Moto Z Play

moto-z-play-row123Talk about kicking ass and taking names, the Z Play was a shocking winner in the battery department. This particular model went just over 23 hours with its battery. Nope, you are not reading that wrong. Its Z Force counterpart clocked in at 16 hours and 32 minutes of video playback. Standing ovation? We believe so.

Samsung Galaxy S7 Active (S7 Edge and S7)

gs7_active_back123This line-up from Samsung has been, by far, the best the company has produced. Overall a brilliant smartphone, the Active churned up 21 hours, followed by the Edge’s 19 hours and the S7’s 16 hours.

OnePlus 3T

We would say its equally impressive, just as the design, but the specs have been bumped enough for folks to buy a new OnePlus handset. Even with the more powerful Snapdragon 821 chip, the battery lasts just over 16 hours.

Huawei Mate 8

huaweimate8mocha123456The display is massive, measuring in at six inches. More use of the battery? Sure, but it is still impressive given the big screen, backed up by the 4,000mAh battery. A continuous played video pushed the battery to 15 and a half hours. The only major drawback is its unnecessarily high price tag.

Samsung Galaxy J3

The best batteries aren’t only housed in the premium line-up. Samsung placed a very solid battery in the J3, which put up 15 hours and 40 minutes. That’s plenty of power and longevity for a phone that cost $350 less than the Mate 8.
