Photo Studio
Let us begin with the deprived platform of photo editing apps, for Blackberry never really had much to hit the mark here. But this one is fairly commendable as a simple image editor. With a surprising cherry on top, this one comes with more filtering options than Instagram. Although it lacks almost every advanced option, RGB levels adjustment aside, it will let you take pictures from the app directly. However, with sketch effects, collage making options and superb filtering choices, it is more than sufficient for the simpletons.
Platforms: Blackberry 10, Android
Litely
Another find of easy peasy nature, Litely is beautiful to work with. It has an appealing interface, very easy to use and is handy to make comparison with its before-after view options.
Platforms: iOS, Android
Repix
Even better looking than the Litely, Repix is a joy to use on its own. With cool filters, basic editing tools and advanced effects such as posterise and flares, this app can be called a one-stop-editing platform. However, the filters will eventually be limited and you have to purchase more from the appstores.
Platforms: iOS, Android
Snapseed
You may have heard of this one, as it is a superb platform that makes photo editing super simple. With an intuitive interface, its manual tuning feature allows you to change the variables (effects) and values by just swiping up, down, left and right till you find just the right amount of sweet and sour.
Platforms: iOS, Android
VSCO Cam
If you're an editing geek, things can't get better than this. Best of the lot, VSCO (pronounced visco) has a magnificent collection of filters, some of them being charged for but the freebies are good enough for most users. The tools include brightness, contrast, saturation, tint, crop, rotate, sharpness, highlights, shadows, among a few others, which is as close to professional photo editing as it could be, with no bucks spilling out of your pocket.
Platforms: iOS, Android (not available on tablets though)
