A press conference was organized on Sunday on the occasion of the first reunion of BSMMU Alumni Association at Milton Hall of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University.
Vice-Chancellor of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University and President of BSMMU Alumni Association Professor Dr. Sharfuddin Ahmed was present as the chief guest in this press conference.
Prof Dr. Md. Sharfuddin Ahmed informed that the reunion of BSMMU Alumni Association will be held at Bangabandhu International Conference Center, Agargaon, Dhaka on November 28.
Speaker ShirinSharmin Chowdhury will be present as the chief guest in this event.
This will be the first reunion in the history of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University.
Alumni are an important part of a university.
This university did not have an alumni association till 2022. Professor Dr. Md. Sharfudin Ahmed started this association journey from 2022.
Member Secretary of BSMMU Alumni Association Professor Dr. Shahidullah Sabuj said that before the establishment of the university, the name of this institution was IPGM&R.
Since its inception till date, this institution has established numerous doctors as specialist doctors.
Many have crossed the borders of the country and settled abroad.
BSMMU VC inaugurated this registration process on 1st instant.
Registration can be done online and offline (directly by coming to Alumni Office).
There has already been a huge response from the participants.
All those who have completed degrees like MD, MS, MPhil, Diploma, MPH, MBBS, BSC, MSc etc. from this university and former IPGM&R can participate in this event.
Faculty members of the university are also members of this alumni association.
