Example of AI writing
“To fully grasp the situation at stake, we must delve deeper into the underlying theories. Please provide all pertinent details about the incident in your report.”
You may think that AI makes your writing sound smarter but it really goes out of its way to use unnecessary 25-cent words that make you sound stuck up. In this example, instead of using a complex word like “delve” something as simple as “explore” or “dig into” would have been more fitting. Also “pertinent” is just a fancy word that conveys the same idea that “relevant” would.
If the person reading your work has to google the meaning of a word every five minutes, they will immediately lose interest and stop reading. Having a refined vocabulary is a good thing but knowing when to use fancy words and when to use more simpler words is a more important skill.
AI writing also has a distinct structure. There’s an introductory paragraph and a closing statement. Subordinate clauses are found more often than most people would typically write them.
