Investment banker Kazi Shahidul Hasan Farid has passed away at the age of 76.
He breathed his last on December 24 in New York.
Kazi Shahidul Hasan Farid was born on January 17, 1946, in Narayanganj to Kazi Zahural Huq and Rabeya Khatun.
He was the youngest brother of Kazi Zahedul Hasan, MD of Kazi Farms and Deepto TV, and Engr Kazi Rezaul Hasan.
He completed his BSc in Engineering at Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (Buet).
In 1966-67, he was the publisher of and a regular contributor to "Na", a ground-breaking Bengali literary magazine published in Dhaka.
He moved to the US to complete his MS and MBA degrees from Boston University.
He spent his career in Wall Street as an investment banker.
He also covered the last few US elections working for Deepto TV.
