Viber users in Bangladesh, Philippines, Vietnam, and Nepal can now download the #FreeToBeOnline Viber sticker pack to raise their voices in campaigning for safer spaces online for girls.
According to the Truth Gap report, false information online has left one in five girls (20%) feeling physically unsafe.
Nearly nine out of ten girls (87%) and young women think it has had a negative impact on their lives, the report by Plan International added.
As part of the organization’s “Girls Get Equal” campaign, Plan International is supporting girls worldwide in calling on governments to take immediate action to increase children and young people’s digital literacy, equipping them with the knowledge and skills to identify false information and engage confidently in online spaces.
