The on-going pandemic has established the vitality of wearing a mask whenever we head out, reinforced by the authorities worldwide. Subsequently, we witnessed a remarkable rise in the availability of masks in general, with a large portion of the population opting for more unique masks introduced by fashion houses and indie stores. Having so many options available, however, brings to question: How effective are these, really? We put the Shurokka Facemask to test.

Our verdict:
Oftentimes, the filter on the mask makes it difficult for air to pass through it, too -- perhaps why so many people can be seen on the streets with their masks below their noses. The Shurokkha mask, however, is incredibly breathable, making wearing it throughout the day much less taxing. The inner material is not aggressive on the skin, hence does not cause any irritation on the skin afterwards. The adjustable elastic bands are very handy, too. The 3D design -- although a little strange on the face at first -- ensures the mask sits on the face comfortably and seamlessly. Unlike many other masks available in the market now, the Shurokkha mask's quality did not deteriorate significantly after the wash.
