It kept taking submissions from all over the country for almost a month and helped the youth to showcase their talent while staying at home. Canadian University of Bangladesh has been by the side as co-host of this event from the very beginning. On July 12, the official closing ceremony of ‘Talent Transition 2020’ took place. The formal session was followed by an exquisite cultural session including singing, dancing, recitation, and a unique segment of Beatboxing all of which were performed online. Both the sessions were equally enjoyed by more than 3,000 people.

The ceremony started at 8pm, Bangladesh time (2pm GMT). The guest of honour at this ceremony were, Prof Dr Mohammad Mahfuzul Islam, Vice Chancellor, Canadian University of Bangladesh; Faruque Hossain, former secretary of the government; Shah Ali Forhad, Special Assistant, Prime Minister’s Office; and Dr Faruk Hossain, Additional Secretary (technical), Ministry of education. Arifuzzaman, Certified Trainer in Emotional Intelligence, Head of Business School, Canadian University of Bangladesh was also present as the special guest.

At the beginning of the event, Prof Dr Mahfuzul Islam said, “By organizing events like Talent Transition 2020, Evolution360 is working as a medium of revolution by creating awareness for change, and that’s why we’re truly proud.”

Another chief guest, Shah Ali Forhad, said, “The youth should not only be considered as economic tools. Rather they are our most important assets. We should look after their well-being.” On a similar note, Arifuzzaman, Trainer in Emotional Intelligence, stressed on developing the emotional quotient of the youth for national development.

The formal program, along with the cultural segment, made it uniquely amazing for the audience to enjoy at home amidst this global crisis.

Being established in 2016, Evolution360 is replicating the #HeForShe campaign, creating national and international volunteering and skill-development opportunities for the youth both locally and internationally. Along with multiple awards from UNV, UN Women, and UNDP, Evolution360 has also received the International Arch of Europe Award in Gold Category as the only youth organization from Bangladesh, at Frankford, Germany, in 2018. Founder President of Evolution360, Upoma Ahmad said, “Instead of preparing the world for our youth, we should prepare the youth for the post-pandemic world,”
