‘Friendship Colours of the Chars’ held a winter fashion exhibition at their retail shop in Banani on Tuesday, 28 January 2020. They featured a collection of handmade and natural dyed shawls, scarves, sarees and jewelry. The fashion and lifestyle brand stands as a social enterprise of Friendship NGO.
The fashion show was preceded with a brand collection by Friendship designer Imam Hassan, followed by novelty draperies designed exclusively for Friendship by renowned designers Maheen Khan, Kuhu Plamondon and Chandana Dewan. The final queue was dedicated to specialty natural dyed Jamdani sarees designed by prodigious fashion guru, Chandra Shekhar Shaha.
Following the vision of ethical and sustainable fashion, Friendship Colours of the Chars work with the most remote and marginalized women of the chars (riverine islands) in Gaibandha and Kurigram Districts. Their retail store is located in Banani Road 12, Block E, House 40, Floor 2.
