Former ambassador Barrister Harun ur Rashid has passed away due to old age complications. He died on Monday night.
He is survived by his children Mamun, Sabina and Amin, his son-in-law Safi, daughters-in-law Rosemary and Jane, and grandchildren Mia, Alisha, Zara and Joshua.
After retiring as permanent representative to the United Nations (UN) in Geneva with concurrent accreditation to the UN Office in Vienna, UNIDO and IAEA, he worked as a regular columnist for newspapers and magazines.
He also authored several books on foreign policy, international relations and law. His Namaz-e-Janaza will be held at Gulshan Azad Mosque after Zohr prayers on Tuesday.
