Md Nazrul Islam, father of Dhaka Tribune’s Court Correspondent Md Sanaul Islam Tipu, has passed away in Dhaka Medical College and Hospital (DMCH). He was 75.
Nazrul Islam breathed his last around 1:10pm on Friday while undergoing treatment at the hospital, said Sanaul Islam.
He had been suffering from various old age complications and was admitted to DMCH on September 5.
Originally from Gangni upazila of Meherpur District, Nazrul Islam was a retired senior teacher at the Mirpur Pilot High School in Kushtia.
He left behind four sons, his wife and relatives, to mourn his death.
Sanaul said his father would be buried in their village home.
