Finding Bangladesh, in association with Robi Axiata Limited, will be premiering the documentary “Bangladesher Harano Golpo" at Dhaka’s Krishibid Institution of Bangladesh (KIB) auditorium on Friday (October 26) at 3.30pm.
The feature length documentary was directed by Adnan MS Fakir with an aim to “revive lost tales of Bangladesh.”
The 80-minute-long documentary film is based on the historical events, mythologies and legends of Bangladesh dating as far back as 3,000 BC.
“Bangladesher Harano Golpo" will showcase 11 stories on 17 historical locations of the country including stories of sea monsters, leaning temples, seductive ghosts, accidental heroes, ruthless kings, tiger tamers and much more.
Managing Director of Mohammadi Group, Rubana Hoq will attend the event as chief guest while Advisor of StartUp Bangladesh-iDEA of ICT Division Tina F Jabeen will also attend the event as special guest.
The event will also have a merchandise stall jointly set up by Finding Bangladesh and Robi Axiata Limited.
The online registration for the premiere show started in October 18 and ended on October 20.
The screenplay of the project was co-written by Tamjid Ahmed Ananda, Anika Ali, and Adnan MS Fakir.
The film features Nasser Hasib Siddiqui, Zarif Bazme Hafeez, Baizid Haque Joarder, Shihab Arefin Chowdhury and Stawb Peter Halder while the narration was done by Tamjid Ahmed Ananda, Mohammad Ar-Rafi Waseq Hossain, and Stawb Peter Halder.
“Bangladesher Harano Golpo" was shot by the director himself and edited by Sameer Chowdhury, Mustahsin Ul Aziz, Fahad Zaman, Md Sohan Haider. The songs included in the project were sung by Mashruk Zaman Khan, Minar Rahman and Lokkhi Terra.
