When the cinema halls across the country were suffering from sub-standard films and unhealthy atmosphere, a new cinema hall came as a call for a new age. Star Cineplex, which is located at Bashundhara City shopping mall, opened their doors to usher all the Bangladeshi cinema-goers who had given up going to cinema halls.
For the last 14 years Bangladeshi film-lovers have been enjoying new and critically acclaimed films from across Dhallywood to Hollywood at star Cineplex. On October 8, Star Cineplex will be celebrating 14th birth anniversary in a magnificent ceremony. That day will also be marked by honouring 14 Dhallywood films.
However, the chairman of the establishment would rather keep the names of the 14 films secret.
Actor and director Shahriar Nazim Joy will be the host of the program. He informed that honourary crests will be given to the cast and crew of these 14 films. All the people related to the selected films were invited.
Aside from the presentation ceremony there will be a red carpet photo session, speeches and music program. The ceremony will be held from 6pm at Star Zone of Star Cineplex on October 8.
