Gias Uddin Selim’s “Swapnajaal” will be screened in five states of US- New York, Virginia, Florida, North Carolina and Dallas.
This international screening has been arranged by Bioscope films, an international distributor of Bangladeshi movies. “Swapnajaal” premiered in US on September 9 in Jamaica Cineplex, New York, and will continue its journey in US in theatres like Witherspoon Student Centre of North Carolina,DC Cinemas of Virginia, Southchase cinema hall of Florida and Venetian cinema hall of Dallas.
The Chief Executive Officer of Bioscope Films, Raj Hamid said: “We want to spread the Bengali culture into the heart of US. Therefore, we will continue releasing our movies in their multiplexes. This small attempt to display the richness of Bangla movies will only be successful if Bangladeshi expatriates come to watch the movies in theatres.”
Yash Rohan and Pori Moni play the lead roles in “Swapnajaal.”
Hamid also informed that after this venture, necessary steps have been taken to run “Poramon 2” as well in US theatres.
“Poramon 2” is the recent trailblazer in Bangla movies. The romantic tragedy starring Siam Ahmed and Puja Cherry Roy hit theatres on June 16.
