Banglalink, one of the leading digital communication service providers in Bangladesh, will present “Legends of Rock”, an exclusive musical TV show featuring performances of 23 members of the Bangladesh Musical Bands Association (BAMBA). The event organizers’ goal is to enhance Bangla rock music lovers’ Eid celebration with the exhilarating music of legendary rock stars.
“Banglalink presents Legends of Rock” will be aired from the first to seventh day of upcoming Eid on Desh TV at 8:45pm. The remaining episodes of the show will be telecast on each Friday of every month at 9:45pm till December.
The radio partner of “Legends of Rock” is ABC Radio FM 89.2.
Ritesh Kumar Singh, Chief Sales Officer, Banglalink in a recent statement said: “Banglalink has been associated with the promotion of local music for a long time, and took many initiatives such as ‘Jagoroner Gaan,’ ‘Bangladesh Utsab,’ ‘Lalon,’ ‘Notun Diner Concert’ in the past to uphold music of different genres.
‘Legends of Rock’ is our latest initiative to uphold the profoundly rich tradition of rock music in the country. Watching the rock stars perform will be a fascinating experience for music lovers during their Eid celebration,” the statement further said.
Hamin Ahmed, President, BAMBA said in a statement: “BAMBA has been working for long to develop and take band music forward in Bangladesh. Generally, band music programs are performed live on stages. But we wanted to go beyond that tradition through the broadcast of a new mode of performance on TV.
‘Legends of Rock’ has given us that opportunity, which will eventually help to set new standards of band music in days to come,” he added.
The popular bands that will be performing in the show are: Arbovirus, Black, Band Lalon, Beduin, Cryptic Fate, Dalchut, Feedback, Miles, Maqsood O Dhaka, Mechanix, Nemesis, Nagorik, Avoid Rafa, Artcell, Obscure, Power Surge, Pentagon, Shironamhin, Souls, The Trap, Vikings, Warfaze and Dreek.
