Popular Bangladeshi actress Azmeri Haque Badhon will attend two panel discussions at the 10th edition of Dhaka Lit Fest. She will join the sessions on January 7 and 8 at Bangla Academy premises.
On January 7 (Day 3), Badhon will attend a session styled as “Out of Reach” to challenge practicing stereotypes. Veteran actor Afzal Hossain is another panelist of the session. The session will be moderated by Bonna Mirza and conducted at the lawn at 4:15 pm.
Azmeri Haque Badhon is also a panelist of another session titled “Masculinity vs Patriarchy,” which will be conducted on January 8 (Day 4) at 12:30 pm. This session brings together diverse voices from the worlds of arts, entertainment, academia, activism, and the legislation to share experiences from their respective fields. Apart from Badhon, the panel includes Iresh Zaker, Syeed Ahamed, Maheen Sultan, Nobonita Chowdhury, Taqbir Huda and Tasaffy Hossain. The speakers will discuss existing gender-based biases and its impact. This session will be held at the lawn and moderated by Bonna Mirza.
Azmeri Haque Badhon is a renowned Bangladeshi actress. She won the Best Performance by an Actress Award in 2021 at the 14th Asia Pacific Screen Awards for her role in “Rehana Maryam Noor,” the first Bangladeshi film that has made it to the official selection of Cannes.
