The first day of three-day long Dhaka Literary Festival (DLF) – popularly known as Dhaka Lit Fest – has begun with elegant Kathak dance performances.
Kathak dance artists Munmun Ahmed and Aparajita Mustafa performed several dances prior to the inauguration ceremony.
Students of Rewaz Performers' School, an institution that teaches Kathak dance founded by Munmun Ahmed, also performed there.
Kathak is one of the oldest dance forms in the Indian Subcontinent.

Cultural Affairs Minister Asaduzzaman Noor, who is the chief guest of the program, has already arrived at the venue and is slated to inaugurate the event – the largest international literary festival in the country.
