The Bangladesh Securities and Exchange Commission recently lifted floor price restrictions off another 23 listed companies.
According to a BSEC order, floor prices will now be applicable to 12 companies.
Earlier on January 18, the stock market regulatory body withdrew the floor price restrictions from 320 listed companies, but kept 35 other listed companies under the floor price restrictions.
On Monday, the BSEC issued another order lifting the floor price restrictions off another 23 out of those 35 companies.
The floor price will remain for the shares of Anwar Galvanizing Ltd, British American Tobacco Bangladesh Company Limited, Bangladesh Export Import Company Ltd, Bangladesh Steel Re-Rolling Mills Limited, Grameenphone Ltd, Islami Bank Bangladesh PLC, Khulna Power Company Limited, Meghna Petroleum Limited, Orion Pharma Ltd, Renata Ltd, Robi Axiata Limited and Shahjibazar Power Co Ltd.
On July 28, 2022, the BSEC imposed floor prices on all listed companies to prevent excessive falls in stock prices amid economic concerns in the country.
