The country's two bourses — Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) — will remain closed for nine days from August 9 on the occasion of Eid-ul-Azha.
According to DSE officials, the Eid vacation will begin from August 11 and continue till 13.
As August 9 and 10 were weekends, the Eid vacation would begin early, they said.
Meanwhile, the bourses boards declared August 14 a holiday to keep the vacation uninterrupted, which makes it a nine-day vacation.
After the Eid vacation, trading and official activities at both bourses will resume on August 18.
Trading will begin at 10:30am and continue till 2:30pm, while office will open from 9:30am to 5:30pm in every working day.
