Shuvra Kanti new MD of CDBL

Shuvra Kanti Choudhury has recently been appointed as managing director (MD) of Central Depository Bangladesh Ltd (CDBL). Bangladesh Securities and Exchange Commission (BSEC) approved his appointment as MD in its the 625th regular meeting on Tuesday. BSEC source said, he has been appointed as MD and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) under Depository (User) Regulations, 2003. The appointment will be effective from February 1. Earlier, he was the deputy managing director (DMD) of the company. Prior to joining CDBL, Choudhury had been serving the Dhaka Stock Exchange as chief financial officer since January 2012.
