In the first trading session of the week, the DSEX, the prime index of the DSE, went up by 8.75 points or 0.17% to 4934.47, after first one and half hours of the trade, reports UNB.
But the two other indices opened slight lower.
The DSE Shariah Index (DSES) lost 0.60 points or 0.05% to stand at 1171.57.
The DS30 index, comprising blue chips, went down by 1.49 points or 0.08% to 1804.51.
Turnover stood at Tk 353.71 crore on the premier bourse when the report was filed at 11:59am.
Of the issues traded till then, 145 advanced, 106 declined and 55 remained unchanged.
BBS was the most traded stocks till then with shares Tk 32.41 crore changing hands followed by SAPORTL, LAFSURCEML, APPOLOISPAT and RSRNSTEEL.
The port city bourse –CSE also saw positive trend with its Selective Category Index -- CSCX – advancing 18.51 points to 9182.25, also at 11:57am.
Of the issues traded till then, 98 gained, 77 declined and 27 issues remained unchanged on the CSE with a turnover value of Tk 18.3 crore.
